News - KGVI Residential 2017
• 3 SYG members attended the BB Young
leaders course.
Three of our young
people
attended a KGVI Residential. This was held at BB HQ, Felden Lodge, Hemel
Hempstead; from Saturday 29th July to Friday 4th August 2017.
The KGVI Residential is to enable participants to deliver the BB Mission by equipping
them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work effectively with children
and young people. The course for leaders covers all of the requirements
of Youth Leader Training, but in greater depth. In addition time is spent
on Christian teaching, Bible studies an aspects of personal faith development..
'SYG is committed to supporting young people to become future leaders in the
group. The group has subsidized three young people to attend a week long
residential Leadership Training Course held at Felden Lodge, The BB HQ so
that they can be future leaders in the group.
In
addition the group has paid in full for four adult new leaders to attend
three one day Leadership Training Courses held across East Anglia called
Youth Leader Training.
This will equip new staff to become future leaders in the group.
SYG believes in encouraging and promoting members to be leaders in the
group, by providing financial support, training and a development programme
allowing leaders to use their skills for the benefit of the young people who
attend the group.'
