Our site for 2011 is the Girl Guide Centre in the New Forest called Foxlease just outside of Lyndhurst.

We have use of an indoor centre which can accommodate 30 people (Juniors) plus an adjoining field where everyone else will be accommodated under canvas. We shall again be joined by our friends from Soham.

We have booked an amazing range of on site activities including canoeing, zip wire, high ropes, low ropes, archery and we shall have use of an indoor heated swimming pool.

Some of these activities will be run by the centre staff and some by SYG leaders.

We plan to travel by coach and depending on the weather have a day trip to the beaches at Bournemouth which will be Life Guard patrolled.

The dates will be depart FRIDAY JULY 22 at 2pm (we believe the schools will finish at 12noon but we must leave at this time to ensure a good trip and to settle everyone into the accommodation) and we shall depart on WEDNESDAY morning JULY 27 arriving back in Sawston around 4pm.

Although food, petrol and transport costs are rising we have decided to keep the cost the same as last year at £125 per person. In order for us to claim gift aid tax back we will be treating this cost as a “donation”.

As always, we don’t want any of our members to miss out on this opportunity due to costs, so if you require any financial assistance please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. Even though the group never charges the full costs to its members (this camp will be subsidised by just under £3,000 from grants), we would like everyone to have an opportunity to come.

If you want to go we need a £35 deposit to secure a place, deadline is Monday 24th January 2011. Junior numbers are limited due to accommodation and we will operate a first come first served basis. The balance will be required in two staged payments of £45 each, the first payment due by Easter and the final payment at the beginning of June 2011.
