Between Friday the 8th and Sunday the
10th April 2011, w
e plan to
travel to Glasshouses which is near Pateley Bridge on the edge of the
Yorkshire Dales on the Friday evening and all the seniors will be staying in
bunk bed indoor accommodation. During the weekend we shall be teaching
more practical parts of the DEA scheme and encouraging the seniors to do
short walks (with staff) to test navigation and compass work etc as well as
practice putting tents up and cooking outdoors.
We shall be joined with our Amicus Group who are doing a
Gold Trial Expedition and the Soham boys and girls who are doing a Bronze
Trial Expedition. Our seniors will be doing some practical training only.
