Donations 2017/2018
• Annual Donation (mid Sept to mid May)
DONATIONS
There are three different donations which SYG
require – subscriptions, summer programme and one-off uniform. By treating
these payments as donations rather than fees, the group, as a registered
charity, is able to claim gift aid on the amount paid which helps the group
enormously.
If you require financial assistance in order for
your child to attend SYG and you live in Sawston, please contact John
Huntingdon’s Charity who may be able to offer you assistance. You can also
speak to Rev Alan Partridge as the church does have a hardship fund that may
be able to help.
Please don’t let money be a barrier. If you need
help meeting any of our fees please let us know by emailing
contact@syg.org.uk
1.Uniform Donation (new members only)
This is a one-off donation for any new members
to SYG to help cover the cost of providing the SYG uniform of £25.
This donation is only required when you first join, and is due by Monday
25th September. The uniform belongs to SYG and is provided on loan.
We will update the uniform when your child outgrows it or moves sections.
Should your child leave the group, the uniform must be returned.
2. Annual Subscription (mid September to mid May)
This annual subscription covers the costs
involved in running SYG on Monday evenings, e.g. insurance, hire of
facilities, etc and our band which meets on a Thursday. This
subscription covers the cost of all Monday & Thursday evenings from
mid-September through to the start of the Summer Programme in May 2018. The
subscriptions for (2017/18) are due by Monday 25th September. This
year we have tried to simplify the subscriptions which are now £75 per young
person across the whole group. There is an option to pay half by the
25th September (£37.50) with the other half (£37.50) due in early January
2018. If you wish to pay in this way then please let your section
co-ordinator know.
The summer programme is when we change gear
completely and undertake a number of different “fun” activities, e.g.
canoeing, wide games, punting, etc, which we need to charge for separately;
the cost is determined by the activities we undertake. The summer programme
fee for 2018 will be £30 per member.
